Gold Hash

Okay, last post from the quilts done this summer.

I was going through my fabric stash this summer
and found a good deal of cream and brown tones.

So, I decided to throw a "Hash Brown" quilt
together with these fabrics.

Summer Stash Finds

When organizing my stash this summer,
I found some unfinished projects that have been there for years.

The following wall hanging and baby quilts
were finished this fall:

Another summer quilt.

I have not yet done a quilt solely for myself.
Yes, I have taken leftovers from other projects and thrown a quilt together.

But not a true project--choosing the fabric, deciding on how to put it all together--the whole shabang!

So here is a project quilt for me--fabrics selected and put together

for my "Wild Thing" quilt.

Today's series of three posts follow a story line.
So please follow along.
Whitney and Matt were married a few years ago
and this was their wedding quilt.

Double Irish Chain wedding quilt.

Michael and Ashley were married this summer
and received this wedding quilt.
Michael is the brother of Whitney,
who was married a few years back.
Michael and Ashley's Full sized Double Irish Chain
has the same yellow floral fabric as in Whitney's wedding quilt as the center chain
and the pink inner border fabric was also in Whitney's quilt.

This is a full shot of Michael and Ashley's wedding quilt.

A picture of the pillow cases given with the quilt.

Barb is the mother of both Whitney and Michael.
I had just enough fabric left over from the wedding quilts for Whitney and Michael to put together a throw size quilt for her with fabrics from both of her children's wedding quilts.

Note that the pink and floral yellow were in both Whitney and Michael's wedding quilts.
The lighter green and green border were in Michael's wedding quilt.
Hence, the mother has a quilt which incorporates
fabrics from her children's quilts.
